Submissions are now open for all children's fantasy work. We accept submissions for novels and picture books only.

Please stick rigidly to the submission guidelines which are included below for your information.

Method of submission:

All submissions must use our own template, which may be found here. All styles must adhere to our template and no additional fonts may be added. If in doubt, please cut and paste into notepad before importing into our template, and re-typesetting according to our styles.

All submissions must use our guidance notes.
Genre: Children's Fantasy Only (all other submissions will be deleted)
Illustrators welcome? Yes. Please send good quality reproductions of your work maximum size 1 megabyte. If we like it, we can arrange a more detailed inspection.
Content: Please submit the first three chapters only.
Series considered? Yes, we like to see progression with our authors and if you have an idea for a series, we would be interested in hearing from you.
Deadline: We are not taking on any new authors until 2013, but we are keen to keep reviewing manuscripts, so there is no deadline at the moment. We usually close for a few months in May, so it's best to get it in early.
Terms & Conditions:

As our general terms and conditions, plus the following:

  • Proof of sending does not mean that we received it
  • We reserve the right to publish your work - with your consent (but are not obligated to do so)
  • We aim to contact you within 4 weeks of receiving your submission (but we are not obligated to do so)
  • All submissions will be read and feedback may be provided (but we are not obligated to provide feedback) and all feedback given will signify the end of communications with you unless explicitly stated in the response
  • The deadline is final
  • We are not obligated to return or refund any fees, costs or documents what so ever unless stipulated by the laws governing the United Kingdom. This includes, but is not limited to late submissions, submissions via post (which will be recycled and not read / returned), unsuitable genres or types of text or submissions deemed unsuitable for whatever reason to be published by us
